REVIEW ULTIMA II Clear White Supreme (Brightening & Anti-‐Aging Face Essence and Protective Day

You must be familiar with the brand ULTIMA II! A short intro of the brand, ULTIMA II-‐Timeless Beauty is an American brand, owned by Revlon, as its upmarket cosmetic line.
ULTIMA II introduces its Clear White Supreme range as the line for tackling the pigmentation problems, as well as to brighten and to slow down skin aging process.
I was delighted to have received these two lovely products from the Clear White Supreme range: the Brightening & Anti Aging Face Essence and the Protective Day Lotion SPF30 PA+++ (thanks FemaleDaily!)
Before sharing to you about how these products worked on me, I am going to tell you what this range can do to your skin. If you’re struggling with dull skin you need to read this :D
Exposure to sunlight increases the production of Melanin Stimulating Hormone (MSH), and MSH will increase Melanin yeast that increases the melanin production. Melanin on our skin surface will make our skin look dull and make the complexion look uneven. Now, what’s in this ULTIMA II range that can help us tackle the dull skin problem?
The Clear White Supreme range contains Sepiwhite MSH, which decreases the melanin production by reducing MSH. This then results in more brightened skin. It also contains Sepicalm VG WP which inhibits dark spots, and Ascorbyl Glucoside, which brightens, acts as antioxidant against free radicals, and slows down skin aging by increasing collagen and elastin production.
It also contains vitamin E, Phytessence Kudzu (Pueraria Lobata) extract, and Red Algae (Palmaria Palmata) extracts <3 <3 with all those substances you won’t dare complaining about its sort of hefty price tag.
As you can see in the ingredients list, both products contain fragrance. However, since the percentage is pretty low, I can say that it’s not very alarming for people with sensitive skin. The fragrance is the face essence is very faint, whereas in the protective lotion it’s quite strong. The texture of the face essence is creamy gel (it’s gel so it absorbs wonderfully, but still feel bouncy like creams), whereas the protective lotion is more watery and it’s white in colour.
Although it contains SPF, it does not leave white cast so it’s fine to be used under makeup :D
Now I am going to share to you how these products worked on me after 1, 3, and 7 days of using them.
For your information, I have been using it for more than a week now and I like them. I use the face essence day and night after toner, and I use the protective day lotion in the mornings.
After 1 day:
When I used the face essence for the first time I felt a sudden plump on my skin. The texture felt super nice because it’s gel so it’s light. But surprisingly moisturizing.
After 3 days:
After 3 days of using these products I can see that some areas that used to be darker than the rest got a bit brighter. Which is the reason why I kept using it until now.
After 7 days:
After a whole week of trying out these products I can say that it’s safe for me because I did not get any breakouts or irritation. Just a smooth and more even complexion. It’s somehow addictive to see how my skin complexion improves as I am using these products.
Final thoughts: What I love about the face essence is that it absorbs really quick and it feels like your skin is drinking water because it feels hydrated. No more flaky skin. What I like about the protective day lotion is that it’s multifunctional. I can use it alone as both moisturizer AND sunscreen. It saves a lot of time and also the texture is light (not sticky like other sunscreens) so it won’t bother the makeup application.
